The purpose of a logo is not to tell a brands story. It doesn't need to be saying a whole lot.

Get to the point

Get to the point! Imagine if you were meeting a person for the first time and instead of stating who they were (maybe their name) they went on and on about their life story, their dreams and values, you'd be a bit puzzled right? What are the chances of you recalling that person's name at the end of the day after you'd met a hundred more persons?

Now, if upon meeting you the person briefly said their name, then went on to tell you an amazing story or something life changing, chances are you'll ask to be reminded of their name at the end of the conversation and the next time you heard that name you'd probably remember the encounter. The simpler the name the better.

Now let me get to the point.

The period/ full stop is not more important than the sentence. However through a series of encounters and seeing it repeatedly we become familiar with it's purpose. It ties everything together. Similarly, your logo is not an experience. It simply ties a series of experiences together through constant exposure and association. It shouldn't try to say much (sentence). It should simply tie everything together (period).

The simpler the logo the easier the association and recollection. Keep it simple. Get to the point.
